The GSF series follows the adventures of the GSF clan, a faction located somewhere in the galaxy of a Space Engineers server. The series is based on real events from a Space Engineers server created by Debil in 2016.

There are several adaptations of it, including:
- The Original Script (A historical record of activities in the Space Engineers server, used as a base by every other adaptation)

- War of the Soul (A comic adaptation created by OpticHanAlone, depicting events from early 2019 to late 2023, most of which was lost to a memory leak)

- The Archive Project (An SFM adaptation created by OpticHanAlone, depicting events from early 2022 to the present, and is still ongoing)

- League Crisis (A novel created by Nibus, depicting the GSF Civil War that took place in 2017, which was lost when he sold his house in California)

There are also multiple fictional stories based on GSF, none of them officially released, including:
- GSFsekai (A story created by Nibus, in which GSF members get isekaid....as the title implies. The story is entirely fictional, with it's only elements from real life being the characters that are present in both GSFsekai and the Original Script, though, most of their personalities are different. This story has not yet been finished)

- Mr. Anderson (A story originally created by OpticHanAlone and now written by the Timeline Writers, a group of members from different factions in the server, depicting the story of Captain Anderson, who replaces Optic as the captain of the Intermission, who seeks revenge on aliens for the death of his wife and the destruction of Earth. The story is entirely fictional, with elements from the real world, like the G.S.S. Intermission, which is still the good old Excelsior class. While the story is finished, it has never been officially released)
